Andermatt offers unique opportunities for skiers at all levels. Two different ski-lift systems at your doorstep allow you to explore the prepared pists as well as the untouched expanses on the back of the mountain    (in doing so, make sure you're accompanied by one of the experienced guides from the village). For cross-country enthusiasts, there are magnificent tracks taking you along the valley to the neighbouring village of Hospental and back. This heaven for skiers is still fairly unexplored and you will be spoiled with a unique experience without having to spend alot of time queuing for the next run.
